Carbon Footprint & Scope Definition
Carbolts’ carbon footprint will be categorised into the three main emission scopes:
Scope 1
Direct emissions from company-owned vehicles and machinery.
Scope 2
Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heating, and cooling.
Scope 3
Indirect emissions from suppliers, transportation, waste, and product life cycles.
A full baseline carbon assessment will be completed to quantify emissions. We will set and improve measurable reduction targets for each scope.
Carbon Reduction Strategy (2026–2030)
Energy Efficiency
Complete building insulation and LED replacement; conduct energy audits on a regular basis. This will Substantially reduce our energy use.
Renewable Energy
Expand solar installations following test results; explore battery storage and renewable energy contracts.
Transportation
Transition company vehicles to hybrid or fully electric models; promote low-carbon logistics.
Supply Chain
Work with overseas manufacturers to improve energy efficiency and ethical production standards.
Waste Reduction
Implement circular economy principles (reuse, recycle metal waste, reduce packaging).
Employee Engagement
Staff training and “Green Champions” program to promote sustainable practices.
Offsetting & Carbon Neutrality
